Rafael Fisiev has been offered a fight with Dustin Puryear

The seventh number of the UFC lightweight ranking, Rafael Fisiev, was forced to refuse a fight with American Dustin Puryear, which he was offered by the matchmakers of the world’s strongest league.

In an interview with Sport24 told the manager of Ataman, Sayat Abdrakhmanov.

“We recently received a call asking if Rafa was ready to fight Dustin Porier,” Abdrakhmanov said. “It would seem like a man after a defeat, but such a fight was offered to us. It is clear that because of the injury, Rafa will not be ready to fight at this time – he still has at least six months to recover”

Rafael Fiziev suffered two consecutive defeats, losing by majority decision to Justin Gaethje in March and in September refusing to continue his fight with Mateusz Gamrot because of a knee injury.

Dustin Porier suffered a crushing defeat in July in a contender fight, losing to Justin Gaethje by knockout in the second round, and is currently ranked third in the UFC’s lightweight division rankings.
