Former UFC bantamweight champion, Petr Yan, will return to the octagon on March 11 at UFC Fight Night 221 in Las Vegas, and the Russian will face Merab Dvalishvili, representing Georgia.
The organization of a five-round bout that will headline the event was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
Merab Dvalishvili last August extended his winning streak to eight matches, winning a unanimous decision against the legendary Jose Aldo, and Petr Yan suffered a second defeat in a row in October, losing a split decision to Sean O’Malley.
At the moment, Peter Yan and Merab Dvalishvili occupy the second and third lines in the UFC bantamweight division rankings, respectively.
