Former UFC flyweight champion Peter Yan, who at UFC 299 in Miami put his career back on track after three straight losses, wants to see his next opponent Marlon Vera, who made a failed attempt to take the title from current division champion Sean O’Malley in the event’s main event.
“Cheeto, you’re next! Then Sean O’Malley. I will destroy these two guys,” the Russian said in a video posted on social media.
“I’m back! Thanks for the support, Miami! The love is mutual,” he added in the comment.
The title fight between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera went the full distance and ended with the American winning by unanimous judges’ decision, while Peter Yan defeated China’s Song Yadong by unanimous judges’ decision in the main card of the event.
Sean O’Malley said after the fight that he is ready to challenge for the UFC featherweight championship belt, which is currently held by undefeated Spanish-Georgian fighter Ilia Topuria.
