Peter Jan is ready to change the team’s lineup

Former UFC lightweight champion Peter Yan, who is set to return to the octagon next March, agrees that he needs to change not only the location of his training camp, but also the makeup of his team.

“I need to modernize my camp, my lineup – change something, make new changes, adjustments,” MMAmania quoted the Russian as saying. “I’ll try to make it all work. First of all, it’s people. Sparring partners, coaching staff – this is the most important. We need to create a team with which I will prepare and fly to the fight”

Earlier, the Russian fighter said he would like to return to the octagon on March 9 at UFC 299, and plans to prepare for the fight in Dagestan and the United States.

The last time Peter Yan entered the octagon in March of this year, he lost by unanimous decision to Merab Dvalishvili after five rounds. Prior to that, the Russian suffered two more losses, losing by split decisions to Aljamain Sterling and Sean O’Malley, and is currently ranked fifth in the UFC’s lightweight division.
