If reigning UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling is out with an indefinite injury, division number one Sean O’Malley is ready to welcome Henry Cejudo back into the octagon as he resumes his career after a three-year hiatus.
“I didn’t understand if AljoComane is fighting Henry or not? He said he had a torn bicep. If so, let me beat up Henry,” O’Malley wrote on the social media.
The day before, Sterling announced that he would not be able to defend his title against Cejudo in March, because his biceps were torn. Representatives of the organization did not make official statements on this matter, but according to rumors, the title fight was supposed to take place on March 4 at UFC 285 in Las Vegas.
As for Sean O’Malley, he last entered the octagon in October last year at UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi, winning a split decision against Petr Yan and displacing the Russian from the first line of the rating.
