O’Malley criticizes Sandhagen’s decision to fight Nurmagomedov

O'Malley criticized Sandhagen's decision to fight Nurmagomedov

UFC bantamweight number four Corey Sandhagen made a bad business decision by agreeing to fight division number 11 Umar Nurmagomedov, according to title contender Sean O’Malley.

“This is not a very smart move from a business point of view,” the American said in a video posted not on his YouTube channel. “If you look at it from a gangster point of view, then he is definitely a gangster. What did Chael Sonnen say? Fight the weakest opponent for the most money. Corey does the opposite. He fights for little money with the best guy. He’s not very smart in that sense, but he’s a gangster. I think by accepting the fight with Umar, he acted like a real gangster.

Recall that the fight between Corey Sandhagen and Umar Nurmagomedov on August 5 will headline the UFC on ESPN 50 tournament in Nashville, and on August 19 at UFC 292 in Boston, Sean O’Malley will try to take away the UFC bantamweight championship belt from Aljamain Sterling.
