Oleksandr Usyk's next rival named officially

Oleksandr Usyk’s team won the competitive bidding for the organization of the next fight, which will take place in August this year.

This was announced by the promoter of the Ukrainian boxer, Alex Krasyuk.

“We won the auction and are now working on organizing the fight, which will take place on August 12 in Wroclaw, Poland,” Krasyuk wrote on the social network.

In this match, 36-year-old Oleksandr Usyk will defend the WBA, IBF and WBO heavyweight boxing titles against 25-year-old Daniel Dubois, who is the mandatory contender for the WBA championship belt.

Daniel Dubois last June won the WBA regular world title with a fourth-round knockout of American Trevor Bryan, and in December he successfully defended his belt by knocking out South African Kevin Leren in the third round.

Oleksandr Usyk successfully defended his titles in August last year, winning a split decision against Anthony Joshua.

The news came two months after the team of Oleksandr Usyk refused to continue negotiations with the team of Tyson Fury, who holds the WBC heavyweight boxing world title.
