Oleksandr Sarnavskiy’s career has moved forward

Russian fighter Alexander Sarnavskiy will resume his career on February 24 at the AMC Fight Nights tournament in Moscow, and “Tiger’s” opponent will be his compatriot Magomed Sulumov, who is the organization’s current lightweight champion.

The organization of the fight was announced by league president Kamil Gadzhiev.

Alexander Sarnavskiy, 34, is riding a three-fight win streak, and last fought last May at the ACA 139 tournament in Moscow, finishing Brazilian Herdeson Batista by technical knockout in the first round. This year, Sarnavskiy was dropped from Team Storm by its founder Alexander Shlemenko, under whom he had been training since 2007.

Magomed Sulumov, 26, won the AMC Fight Nights championship belt in July of this year, finishing his compatriot Akhmed Aliev with a heel twisting finish in 45 seconds. Sulumov has fought a total of five fights in the organization, earning four victories, while another fight involving him was ruled a no contest due to an accidental poke to the eye.
