Mixed martial arts veteran Oleg Taktarov, who is set to box against Jeff Monson this week, responded to a question about who is the first Russian UFC champion by unexpectedly recalling one of his most famous movie roles.
“I’m the first UFC champion not from America,” the winner of his sixth UFC championship said at a press conference for the upcoming event. “Hoyce Gracie was from South America, Dan Severn and Steve Jennum from North America, and the next one was me. So I’m the first UFC champion from the Old World.”
“I’m also the first Super Predator killing champion. I killed the first Super Predator – Schwarzenegger killed what the Super Predators were hunting. He just killed a Predator. And I’m the first person to kill a Superpredator. In the world, in the history of mankind!”
Recall that the fight between Oleg Taktarov and Jeff Monson will take place on August 18 in Moscow and will be part of the next tournament “Fight Club REN TV”.
