The World Boxing Organization officially recommended its British world heavyweight champion (up to 90.7 kg) Lawrence Okoli (18-0, 14 KOs) to defend against mandatory challenger David Light (20-0, 12 KOs) from New Zealand.

The parties now have 20 days to reach an agreement. If nothing happens, then the WBO will hold a promotional auction with a minimum bid of $300,000.
