UFC lightweight division number thirteen Umar Nurmagomedov shared his opinion on the upcoming title fight between Sean O’Malley and Marlon Vera headlining UFC 299 in Miami on March 9.
“I think this time Sean O’Malley will destroy this guy because Cheeto won the previous fight only because O’Malley got injured,” the undefeated Russian said while speaking to reporters in Las Vegas. “We don’t know how the first fight would have turned out if he hadn’t gotten injured, because before getting injured, O’Malley was wrecking him.”
Umar Nurmagomedov will return to the octagon this weekend at UFC Fight Night 238 in Las Vegas, and his opponent will be Kazakhstan’s Bekzat Almakhan, a debutant in the world’s strongest league.
Prior to that, the 28-year-old Russian fighter had four wins under the organization’s banner, knocking out Brazilian Raoni Barcelos in the first round in his last fight.
