Briton John Ryder (31-5, 17 KOs) is a priority, but still not the only candidate to compete with Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (58-2-2, 39 KOs) for the upcoming spring fight, and the fight itself can take place not only in Great Britain.

About it in an interview
DAZN said British promoter Eddie Hearn.

“I’ve been talking to[Alvarez’s coach/manager]Eddie Reynoso and[Alvarez’s]team over the past few days, having substantive talks about the fight,” Hearn said. “Obviously Canelo has options and his opponent won’t necessarily be Ryder. But he (Ryder) is his mandatory challenger. We are trying to negotiate a deal with both Canelo and Ryder.”

“We would like Canelo’s next fight to be an international event and take place in the UK or the Middle East, but we are even considering the US and Mexico,” Eddie said. Saul can perform anywhere, and I always planned to give him a world tour. Hopefully the deal will close safely in the coming weeks.”

Recently, Andred criticized Alvarez for choosing his next opponent, and Ryder described how he was going to beat Canelo.
