Promoter Eddie HearnMatchroom Boxing) finally stopped manipulating and twisting the facts in an attempt to convince the public that his star client, British heavyweight Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs) allegedly continues to be the leader of the division, despite the absence of championship belts.

In September last year in London (England), Joshua lost to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs) by decision of the judges, lost his WBA Super, IBF, WBO belts. August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), he will try to take revenge. Meanwhile, the WBC champion Briton Tyson Fury (32-0-1, 23 KOs) took a break from performances, waiting for the result of the rematch.

“If you ask me who is the best heavyweight in the world here and now, then I will honestly say that this is Tyson Fury,”
acknowledged Hearn. “Honestly, it hurts me to say this. But this is a fact. The thing is that until quite recently, Fury was side B financially. But in recent years, he has significantly added to this, brought himself to the forefront. So no matter how we look at it, he’s the division leader right now.”

According to Hearn, Joshua has a good chance to return to his previous positions. The promoter concluded his thoughts as expected – with fantasies about a head-to-head fight between two Britons: “I think that if Anthony wins in a rematch with Usyk, the question of who will be No. 1 in heavyweight will become much more controversial. They both matured. It would seem that now it is easier to agree on a face-to-face fight. But between them there is a certain hostility, which complicates all negotiations to disgrace. Even such a trifle as entering the ring can be a pretext for withdrawing from negotiations. Although the fans will definitely not understand this. They’ll say, “F*ck, what the f*ck? You’ll get over 100 million bucks for a fight! You don’t give a f*ck where and when to change clothes? Yes, for that kind of money you can even change clothes in the parking lot…”

An entertaining thought was expressed by a promoter from Odessa: Joshua began to fade immediately after the victory over Klitschko. And the ex-sparring of the British big men believes that in the event of Usyk’s defeat, “it will be better for boxing.”
