British light heavyweight Anthony Yarde (22-2, 21 KOs) said he enjoyed the WBC/WBO/IBF title unification bout between Arthur Beterbiev and Joe Smith Jr., even though everything went exactly as he expected.

Recall that on June 19, Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs) stopped Smith in the second round. It is expected that Yard will be Arthur’s next opponent on October 23 in London.

“Like I said, from the very beginning I thought it would be a fantastic fight and good entertainment. And I said that it would end in a knockout, the Briton reminds of his prophetic skills. – Do I have any concerns (in connection with the upcoming fight against Beterbiev)? No worries. Here’s none at all. This is boxing.”

According to Anthony, who watched the fight from the ringside, he did not see anything new there:

“What I took out of the fight (Beterbiev-Smith), we already knew. Beterbiev is a powerful puncher. Strong Russian. Russian system, they know how to hit. No wonder he is 18-0 and 18 knockouts. I think our confrontation with him will be even more exciting.”

However, Arthur’s adviser hopes that Beterbiev’s next fight will be with Bivol.
