Nikita Krylov and Roman Kopylov return to the octagon has been announced

The head of the team “Rati”, Alexander Skaredin, representing the interests of welterweight Nikita Krylov and middleweight Roman Kopylov, told about when the Russian fighters will return to the octagon.

“The likelihood of Kopylov’s performance before the end of the year is extremely low,” Skaredin said in an interview “Match TV”. “It will only happen in the case of some kind of replacement, because all the cards are scheduled. We expect Kopylov’s next fight to take place in January-February, and we plan to have three fights in 2024. Roma is on the move now, he’s running like a locomotive. We set a task to strengthen our positions in the UFC, to get into the top 15 of the rating at the beginning of the year. There is no specific opponent, Roma is ready for all challenges, and everything will depend on the vision of the organization”

As for Krylov, who is recovering from surgery, he won’t return until March next year at the earliest.

“We are communicating with Nikita, forming an understanding of the pace of his recovery. And further we will be oriented. In addition to recovery from surgery, Nikita’s visa has expired. The most realistic date for his return is March. But for now, of course, there are no specifics, neither on the timing, nor on the opponents. To understand the situation in the division, let’s wait for the rematch between Magomed Ankalaev and Johnny Walker”

Nikita Krylov is currently ranked sixth in the UFC’s welterweight rankings, while Roman Kopylov is not yet ranked in the organization’s top 15 middleweight fighters.
