35-year-old French-Cameroonian fighter Francis Ngannou (17-3), current UFC heavyweight champion, defeated 31-year-old French athlete Cyril Ghana (10-1) as part of the UFC 270 tournament.
Throughout the fight, Ngannou often took Gan to the ground. Francis won by unanimous decision to retain his title: 48-47, 48-47, 49-46.
