Ex-cruiserweight champion and current boxing columnist Johnny Nelson previously talked about how he would bet on compatriot.

Also Nelson thinksthat Fury will not be helped by his much-adored “mind games”. But not for the reason that the Ukrainian is also a mentally strong dude. With Johnny, everything is much simpler: “My opinion is that Fury will win. Too big for Usyk. Too strong. Too smart. And both in the ring and outside it. But from “mind games” I would refuse. Why is that? I’m afraid that much of what Fury said will be lost in translation. Usyk simply does not understand everything. But a fight is a fight. And the mental component in it is very important.”

Nelson believes that Fury “already proved everything to everyone. So now it’s Usyk’s time to prove that no matter how big his opponent is, he can be dropped. But in this fight, I’ll bet on Fury.”

There is nothing surprising in Nelson’s words. You remember that it was he who called Usyk an unremarkable left-handed fighter, claimed that he would have beaten him in his best years. The other day, Johnny advised Anthony Joshua to take a break, leave boxing for a while, and even earlier he ran into the fans a bit: “Fans have a short memory.”
