UFC on ESPN 41 tournament bout

The fight will take place on August 14 in San Diego (California, USA) at the Pechanga Arena and will become a co-main event of the UFC on ESPN 41 tournament. The estimated start of the fight is 04:00 Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.

Featherweight fighter Nate Landwehr (15-4) will fight David Onama (10-1), who will replace Zubaira Tukhugov, a Russian who was denied a US visa.

American Landwehr came to the UFC as the M-1 featherweight champion. In the octagon, Nate has a 2-2 record so far. The last time he fought was in October, strangling Ludovit Klein with an anaconda. Landwehr was scheduled to fight Onama in March, but Nate pulled out of the fight.

Onama during Landwehr’s downtime managed to make his UFC debut with a loss to Mason Jones, knock out Gabriel Benitez and strangle Garrett Armfield just over a month ago at UFC on ESPN 39.

Prediction for the fight

Two spectacular fighters, so bouts can qualify for a $50,000 Fight of the Night bonus. Onama can be considered a prospect, “The Silent Assassin” has made itself known this year with two great performances.

Onama is generally inferior to the opponent in experience, but otherwise looks fresher and sharper. The Landwehr can give Onama difficult moments both in the standing position and on the ground. But still, we believe that the Ugandan will at some point decide the outcome of the fight with one of his punches, especially since Landwehr is not averse to cutting himself in the standing position.

Onama wins by knockout in the 3rd round
