Named the new best UFC fighter among women

The current UFC flyweight title holder, Alexa Grasso, topped the organization’s top women’s fighters regardless of weight, replacing retired former dual UFC champion Amanda Nunes.

The updated rating is published on the official website of the strongest league in the world.

Former UFC flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko moved up to number two on the P4P UFC women’s list, while current UFC flyweight title holder Weili Zhang took third place.

Next came Rose Namajunas, Julianna Peña, Carla Esparza, Erin Blanchfield, Jessica Andrade, Xiaonan Yang and Taila Santos.

In March of this year, 29-year-old Alexa Grasso made one of the biggest upsets in the history of mixed martial arts, finishing Valentina Shevchenko by rear naked choke in the fourth round and becoming the new UFC flyweight champion. At the same time, “Bullet” advanced to the fourth round, fighting with a score of 29-28 on the cards of all judges.

Before losing to the Mexican, Shevchenko made seven successful title defenses, which she won against Joanna Jedrzejczyk in December 2018.

With a sensational crackdown on Shevchenko, Grasso extended her winning streak to five matches since defeating Ji Yong Kim by decision in August 2020 and closing a loss against Carla Esparza.

According to available information, UFC matchmakers are currently working on organizing an immediate rematch between Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko, which should take place before the end of this year.
