Named the likely opponent of Fury after the cancellation of the fight with Usyk

After the failure of negotiations with Oleksandr Usyk, the current WBC heavyweight boxing champion, Tyson Fury, can fight his compatriot Joe Joyce, who holds the interim WBO title.

This was announced by the famous sportswriter Mike Coppinger.

“The Fury vs Usyk fight is as dead as can be – I have spoken to both sides and they are moving on in different directions,” Coppinger told broadcaster and commentator Max Kellerman. “I was told that there are several venues that are booked for Tyson Fury this summer – he is not going to retire and will most likely face Joe Joyce. This is a prime candidate to fight Fury and it’s going to be a hell of a fight.”

Before facing Tyson Fury, undefeated Joe Joyce must defend his championship belt on April 15 against China’s Zhang Zhilei.

A few days earlier, it became known that the team of Oleksandr Usyk withdrew from the negotiation process for a duel against Tyson Fury, calling the Briton’s demands unacceptable.
