Reigning UFC light heavyweight champion Jamal Hill has opened as a favorite in a potential fight against former division champion Jiri Prochazka.
At the moment, the odds for Hill to win are 1.8 (55.56% probability), while Prochazka’s success is estimated at 2.05 (48.78% probability).
Bookies have released the starting odds a day after Jamal Hill defeated Glover Teixeira via unanimous decision at UFC 283 in Rio de Janeiro to claim the vacant title vacated by the injured Jiri Prochazka.
The Czech fighter, recovering from shoulder surgery, after the fight congratulated the American on his victory, making it clear that he expects to regain the championship belt.
Recall that in June last year, Jiri Prochazka took away the UFC light heavyweight title from Glover Teixeira, finishing the Brazilian by rear naked choke with 28 seconds left in the fifth round. In December, Prochazka dropped out of a rematch with Teixera and vacated the belt, which Magomed Ankalaev and Jan Blachowicz could not play, bringing the fight to a draw.
