The well-known MMA fighter from Tajikistan Chorshanbe Chorshanbiev, deported from Russia, was detained at the Dushanbe airport on the morning of December 30, Radio Ozodi reports.
It is indicated that Chorshanbiev was taken to the State Committee for National Security of Tajikistan. Sources, according to the athlete’s relatives, report that the special services are carrying out explanatory work with him and will let him go home. There is no official information about the arrest yet.
Chorshanbe Chorshanbiev was deported from Russia by decision of the Ostankino Court of Moscow, which found him guilty of violating immigration laws. On December 3, the athlete and blogger violated traffic rules by significantly exceeding the speed limit while driving through the Lefortovo tunnel in a Toyota Camry.
Traffic police officers detained 26-year-old Chorshanbiev at the 92nd kilometer of the outer side of the Moscow Ring Road. At the same time, a native of Tajikistan could not present a driver’s license that would be valid on the territory of the Russian Federation. Also, he did not have a policy of compulsory civil liability insurance (OSAGO).
In addition, Chorshanbiev stated that he did not like Russia and that he was tired of living in Moscow. He also claimed that Nazi views were widespread among Russians.
