Former UFC bantamweight champion Miesha Tate will return to the Octagon on June 3 against Mayra Bueno Silva.
The organization of the fight was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
Last July, Mischa Tate made an unsuccessful debut in the organization’s flyweight division, losing by unanimous decision to Lauren Murphy after three rounds. The year before, the 36-year-old American resumed her career after a five-year hiatus, defeating Marion Renault by TKO and losing by unanimous decision to Kathleen Vieira.
Brazil’s Maira Bueno Silva, 31, picked up her third straight win over the weekend, finishing with a lever knee in the second round of Lina Lansberg.
Misha Tate and Maira Bueno Silva are currently ranked tenth and twelfth in the women’s bantamweight division, respectively.
