American promoter Dimitri Salita says that he and his pot-bellied client, controversial heavyweight Jarrell Miller (24-0-1, 20 KOs), will still try to get a fight with British ex-world champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs).
According to Salita, they hope for such an option “at the end of the year.”
As a reminder, Jarrell was scheduled to fight Anthony on June 1, 2019 at Madison Square Garden before he blew his chance six weeks earlier by failing multiple drug tests. He was replaced by Andy Ruiz, who made the most of his chance.
Miller’s rep admits that the fight with Joshua can only happen if he again loses to Oleksandr Usyk in a rematch on August 20.

Jarrell, 34, returned in June after a lengthy doping ban and failed to reschedule
jornimena.
On Saturday, another Miller will take place, and again against a little-known opponent, a certain
Derek Cardenas (lost the last three fights ahead of schedule). In case of victory, Salita will seek to bring Jarrell to Britain for another fight, but with an eye on the final meeting with Joshua.
However, the promoter says Britons Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora are more realistic targets for Miller.
