Former world champion in four categories Mikey Garcia shared his opinion about a possible fight between the current undisputed lightweight champion American Devin Haney (28-0, 15 KOs) and ex-champion in three divisions from Ukraine Vasily Lomachenko (16-2, 11 KOs).
Garcia considers both boxers to be great masters, and sees a naturally larger fighter as the winner.
“I’m betting on Haney in this fight,” Mikey says. — I think Devin is a bigger fighter and also very talented, so my bet is on him. The way I see it, Loma also has superior skills, but he’s just smaller. Remember what happened when he fought Teofimo? So that was just the size. That’s why I choose Haney.”
Recall that on October 16 in Australia, Haney will defend his title in a rematch with George Kambosos. Two weeks after that, in the US, Lomachenko will return to the ring in a fight with Jemaine Ortiz.
Earlier, the expert explained why we should not wait for the fight between Vasily and Devin.
