Mike Tyson’s likely opponent has been named.

A week after Mike Tyson’s team denied any information about a fight against Fedor Emelianenko, sources close to the situation have revealed that Iron Mike will have a boxing match against MMA and K-1 veteran Mark Hunt.

The bout is reportedly scheduled for eight rounds and will take place this December in Saudi Arabia. The 49-year-old Hunt confirmed the news on his social media accounts, but representatives for the 57-year-old Tyson have yet to make any statements on the matter.

Mark Hunt last fought in mixed martial arts in December 2018, losing by unanimous decision to Justin Willis at UFC Fight Night 142 in Adelaide, Australia. The New Zealand heavyweight has since stepped into the ring twice against former rugby players, losing by unanimous decision to Paul Gallen, and knocking out Sonny Bill Williams.

Mike Tyson in November 2020 resumed his career after a fifteen-year hiatus, drawing an exhibition boxing match against 54-year-old Roy Jones Jr.
