At the end of last week, it became known that Cameroonian Francis Ngannou (17-3) stopped performing in the UFC, having failed to agree with the promotion on a new contract. The heavyweight title has already been taken away from him, the new owner of which will be determined on March 4 at UFC 285 in a duel between Jon Jones and Cyril Gun.
According to Sean Strickland (and not only him), Ngannou’s intractability, who, according to UFC President Dana White, was offered the largest contract in the history of the organization’s heavyweight division, can only be justified by holding a mega-profitable boxing match with Tyson Fury.
Note that Francis has repeatedly confirmed that he would like to fight Fury. And although the Cameroonian himself has not yet commented on parting with the UFC, he has already begun to slowly polish his boxing skills, with the help of the legendary Mike Tyson.
