It’s no secret that iconic American heavyweight Mike Tyson loves British ex-world champion Anthony Joshua (24-2, 22 KOs), who on August 20 in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) will try to regain the WBA Super, IBF and WBO belts in a rematch with Ukrainian Alexander Usyk (19-0, 13 KOs).

In September last year in London (England), Joshua, in the status of a favorite, lost to Usyk by a decision of the judges. On the eve of the second fight, bookmakers believe that the boxer from Ukraine has more chances to win.

Tyson’s opinion: “Joshua’s job is to wear down the opponent. After all, this guy is very fast, maneuverable and all that. The task is to exhaust and beat. No attempts to outbox. He needs not boxing, but a fight. Usyk is very difficult to get to. He is not just an amateur boxer, he is an elite amateur boxer. And dudes like Joshua are always very uncomfortable to work with, because they offer a lot of movement, feints and other things.

Tyson is sure that Joshua will have to work a little more actively in the rematch: “Do you know why Anthony is still dangerous? He has incredible potential. He is still learning all the tricks of boxing. These should never be written off. This one can do anything. Yes! Precisely because he’s fucking still studying. What should he do? No tricks. His jab should be sharp and dangerous. And he needs to pick up the pace. Just a little bit, but necessary. This dude has incredible potential. It’s not a trivial matter for you – Joshua has huge balls.”

The other day Anthony said that he will never be appreciated in the US. Tyson partially agrees with this: “Well, actually, we Americans have always expected something from him. Frankly, I don’t know why there were exactly such expectations from him. ”

Meanwhile, promoter Eddie Hearn told what would happen if Anthony lost to Alexander again. And British legend believes that “Usyk will do it again.” Another expert from Britain even thought about what was left of Joshua? He also mentioned Fury, Usyk and Klitschko.
