Mike Tyson is confident of Francis Ngannou’s success

Legendary American boxer Mike Tyson, who is involved in Francis Ngannou’s preparation for his boxing match against Tyson Fury, is confident that the Cameroonian heavyweight will be able to surprise the world against the British champion.

“It’s going to be the greatest upsets in the history of the entertainment industry,” Iron Mike said while speaking to reporters at an open workout in Las Vegas. “He’s fighting the greatest boxer probably of all time, and I’m looking forward to it. I’m proud of him for taking that step and accomplishing the impossible.”

Separately, Tyson noted that he did not try to teach “The Predator” his signature technique.

“Absolutely not. We’re different people and we have different styles. He’ll box like Francis and he’ll do well. My technique is not for everybody. It worked in my case, but it won’t work for most people. Francis continues to improve his style and I’m happy with the way things are going”

The day before, Tyson Fury’s father, John Fury, criticized the former UFC champion’s open workout, suggesting that with such technique, Francis Ngannou wouldn’t last one round against his son.

The ten-round boxing match between Tyson Fury and Francis Ngannou will take place on October 28 in Riyadh and will have professional status, however, the WBC heavyweight title held by “The Gypsy King” will not be on the line this time around.
