Bellator welterweight Michael “Venom” Page will compete in a bare-knuckle fight against UFC veteran Mike Perry at the upcoming BKFC event in London scheduled for Aug. 20.
Officials from BKFC announced that the fight would be held on Thursday, with further confirmations coming from MMA Fighting.
Page’s fight announcement does not mean Page has been removed from the Bellator roster. He’s still being contracted with Paramount, but he is being borrowed out to Perry for their matchup.
“This will be one of the biggest fights of the year, MVP versus Platinum Perry is truly a fan’s fight!” BKFC president Dave Feldman stated in a press release. Two men who are ready to fight and both have the power.
” I am thrilled to be making our BKFC debut at London’s prestigious fight. This event will be a great success for fans of both combat sports here in the UK and around the globe. This event was made possible by the Bellator Team !”

Page, a Bellator fighter who is often talked about in England, is one of the most popular. He recently lost a split decision against Logan Storley, in an interim title bout for welterweight. This was because Yaroslav Almosov, the reigning champion of Bellator’s Ukraine against Russia, had made it possible to make this fight.
Scott Coker, president of Bellator, wished Page success and confirmed that Perry was allowed to fight him in August.
Over the course of @MichaelPage247‘s 18-fight career at @BellatorMMA, we’ve allowed Michael to challenge himself outside our cage in professional boxing. We wish him luck in this match as he resets for another run at the Bellator title.

Perry will be making his second appearance in the BKFC under a contract he signed with the promotion after a five year run with UFC. The 30-year-old welterweight most recently picked up a decision over Julian Lane in February in his bare-knuckle debut.
Now, Perry faces off with Page in what is one of the biggest BKFC events the promotion has ever staged. Perry vs Page will headline the card at OVO Arena Wembley. Additional fights are expected in the weeks ahead.
