Michael Page has agreed to fight Ian Machado Garry

Four days after Ian Machado Garry announced a potential bout with Michael Page, the Brit has confirmed information that his fight with the Irishman will take place on July 27 at UFC 304 in Manchester.

“I knew I was going to fight in Manchester and I was just waiting for my opponent,” Page told Sky Sports. “I was told that Colby Covington was having some problems, I honestly didn’t understand exactly what they were, and then I was offered the fight with Ian Garry. I was like, ‘Yeah, let’s put that fight on the British card because it makes sense'”

“This guy likes to talk, and he was saying there’s no way I’m beating Kevin Holland, and I did. Then he said he’d never accept a fight with me because my rating is too low, and all of a sudden he agrees to a fight. There’s basically no sense in what he’s saying.”

Ian Machado Garry and Michael Page are currently ranked seventh and thirteenth in the UFC welterweight division rankings, respectively.

As a reminder, the main event of the British numbered event will be a welterweight title fight between Leon Edwards and Belal Muhammad.
