Michael Chandler reveals Conor McGregor’s devious plan

Former UFC lightweight title belt challenger Michael Chandler, who is a prime candidate to fight Conor McGregor, doesn’t believe the Irishman, who laid the blame on the league’s management for the fact that their bout has yet to be officially scheduled.

“I think right now he’s trying to wear me down by waiting,” MMA Fighting quoted the American as saying. “Because if you were him, you’d want to make a guy like me, who is a real fighter and wants to compete, wait as long as possible. Like, I’m going to get bored and say, ‘Fuck it, I’m going to fight somebody else,’ and then he can pick an easier fight, somebody like Nate Diaz.”

“It’s going to look really bad from the outside if Conor comes back and doesn’t fight me. He might try to do that, and if I were him, or if I were his manager, I would do the same thing, because fighting me is not the smartest fight.”

A few days earlier, Conor McGregor had called on the UFC to schedule a fight with any opponent, threatening to open negotiations for a boxing match against Manny Pacquia, and the Irishman’s manager said they still expect to take part in the UFC 300 anniversary event on April 13 in Las Vegas.
