Merab Dvalishvili promises to knock out Sean O’Malley

With just one early victory in the organization, UFC lightweight number one Merab Dvalishvili is confident that he can avoid a judges’ decision and knock out the division’s reigning champion, Sean O’Malley, in his next fight.

“I’m focused on winning and I’m going to do my best,” Dvalishvili told The Schmo. “I’m ready for anything and I’m constantly getting better – in striking, grappling, jiu-jitsu. I work very hard, so don’t be surprised if I knock him out. He’s confident, but I also have skills that I’m constantly improving. I can knockout O’Malley – I believe in that.”

As a reminder, Merab Dvalishvili is riding a ten-fight win streak, having won a unanimous decision over Henry Sejudo in his last fight, while Sean O’Malley made the first successful defense of his title last weekend, defeating Marlon Vera by unanimous judges’ decision over five rounds.
