Merab Dvalishvili demanded a debt from Anatoly Malykhin

UFC lightweight division number one Merab Dvalishvili didn’t ignore the achievement of Russian Anatoly Malykhin, reminding the first triple crowned champion in mixed martial arts history of his debt.

“Wow, Anatoly Malykhin is a triple champion!” the Georgian fighter wrote on social media, posting a photo of Malykhin holding three ONE Championship belts. “But a real man pays his debts! In 2022 we bet you $50,000 dollars and you only paid me $11,000. Be a man and back up with money what your big mouth said. I’ve been chasing you for a long time and I’ve given you plenty of time. Wire me $39,000 dollars at once!”

Thus, Dvalishvili made it clear that he still has not received from Malykhin the money that the Russian lost to him two years ago when he made a bet on the rematch between Peter Yan and Aljamain Sterling. It is known that the Russian fighter was the initiator of the bet, which Dvalishvili agreed to, despite the fact that bookmakers had Jan as more than a six-fold favorite, and there was much more than one-to-one money to be made on his defeat.

In the spring of last year Merab Dvalishvili raised the issue of Anatoly Malykhin’s debt, after which the representative of Georgia Liana Jodjua, who had previously competed in the UFC, was involved in solving this issue, but apparently she failed to solve the problem of misunderstanding of the parties involved in the dispute. Malykhin himself recognized the fact of the debt, but explained the delay with its payment by the fact that Dvalishvili could not send him the necessary details for the transfer.

Recall that last weekend Anatoly Malykhin, who holds the ONE heavyweight and light heavyweight titles, defeated Dutchman Rainier de Ridder by technical knockout in the third round to take the ONE middleweight championship belt from him.
