British boxing commentator Gareth Davis shared an insider. He claims that before the end of the year there will be a rematch between the legendary US veteran champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. and the once formidable UFC star Irishman Conor McGregor.
The fighters met in August 2017 in Las Vegas (USA): they gave out a spectacular fight, in which Mayweather celebrated an early victory.
Davis is not the first to talk about this event. But, of course, he
not in a hurry to reveal their sources: “This revenge will take place. And even this year. Mark my word. No, I will not reveal my sources, but I heard that they are already talking about the fight in detail. And I believe in it because it makes sense.”
According to the reviewer, “Conor is now too big and too traumatized to return to the UFC and take serious fights there. And if not a fight with Mayweather, then he will have to return to the cage again. Well, let’s say by garlic that we would like to see it again.
In the meantime, it is already known that Mayweather will hold an exhibition fight in Japan in September. He is said to be offering McGregor fabulous money for a rematch. It is possible that Floyd may even officially return in 2022.
