The featherweight bout between Max Holloway and “Korean Zombie” Chen Sung Jung will be the main event of UFC Fight Night 226 on August 26 in Singapore.
The organization of the fight was officially announced by the President of the UFC, Dana White.
In April of this year, Max Holloway returned his career to a successful track, after five rounds defeating Briton Arnold Allen, who had never known defeat under the UFC banner, by unanimous decision. Nine months earlier, the American made another unsuccessful attempt to take the title from Alexander Volkanovski, losing to the Australian by unanimous decision in the final match of the trilogy.
The Korean Zombie hasn’t entered the octagon since last April, when he lost to Volkanovski in the title fight by TKO in the fourth round.
Currently, Max Holloway and Chen Sung Jung are ranked second and seventh in the UFC featherweight division, respectively.
