Former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway, who scored an early victory over Korean Zombie this past weekend, addressed his opponent, who announced the end of his professional career after the fight.
“It was a great honor to share the octagon with you, Korean Zombie,” the American wrote on social media. “The man, the myth, the legend. Watched you over the years – the way you positioned yourself in the fight world, humbly and respectfully, as befits a true martial artist”
“A true WEC and UFC gangster, not one of those circus performers. You are one of the last of an endangered species. Thanks for paving the way for the rest of us. Enjoy your retirement and I look forward to your first solo album.”
As a reminder, the featherweight bout between Max Holloway and Korean Zombie headlining UFC Fight Night 225 in Singapore ended at 23 seconds of the third round with the former UFC champion winning by knockout.
