UFC Fight Night 205 Prediction
The fight will take place on March 27 in Columbus (Ohio, USA) at the Nationwide Arena and will become part of the main card of the UFC Fight Night 205 tournament. The estimated start of the fight is 01:00 am Kyiv time. The fight will be broadcast live on Setanta Sports.
Veteran Matt Brown (23-18) will make his 29th UFC welterweight bout against Brian Barberena (16-8). This fight was originally scheduled for December, but Brown was forced to retire after testing positive for COVID-19.
Brown, 41, who made his UFC debut back in 2008, has lost more than he has won in recent years. However, he won his last fight when he knocked out Diego Lima in the second round last June. So far, Brown has lost 7 of his previous 10 fights.
Barberena in December instead of Brown fought with Darian Wicks, who was passed by “Bam Bam” by unanimous decision. Barberena has lost three of his previous four fights.
Prediction for the fight
Given the styles of the fighters, it would be logical to assume that we are in for a bright standup fight. Despite all the damage to his health over the years of performances, Brown is still able to show something in the octagon and still has knockout power.
Barberena is a rather primitive drummer, and Brown can take advantage of his experience. The probability of someone winning by knockout is very high. Brown has not been able to boast of a strong jaw for a long time and in exchanges he can at any moment run into a blow that will lead to his defeat. However, we believe that Brown, again, due to his vast experience and heavy hands, will win his 13th knockout victory in the UFC.
Brown wins by knockout in the 1st round
