The fight was officially announced by representatives of the UFC. The event was originally scheduled to be hosted by Josh Emmett and Iliya Topuria, however, the featherweight bout was rescheduled for a week and became the main event of UFC on ABC 5, which will take place on June 24 in Jacksonville.
