The bantamweight bout between Marlon Vera and Corey Sandhagen, who was scheduled to headline UFC Fight Night 219 in Las Vegas on February 18, will be the main event of UFC on ESPN 43 on March 25 in San Antonio.
The postponement of the fight was reported by informed sources close to the situation.
Last August, Marlon “Chito” Vera scored his fourth straight win with a fourth-round knockout over former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz.
Cory Sandhagen got his career back on track in September by winning a TKO over Song Yadong at the end of the fourth round, whom the doctor didn’t release into the final round. Prior to that, Sandhagen lost decisions to T.J. Dillashaw and Petr Yan.
Marlon Vera and Corey Sandhagen are currently ranked fourth and fifth in the UFC bantamweight division, respectively.
