Despite being given potentially tougher opponents on short notice, Islam Makhachev and Khamzat Chimaev have retained their status as favorites in their upcoming fights.
Currently, the odds on Makhachev’s win over Alex Volkanovski are 1.4 (71.43% probability), while Chimaev’s success against Kamaru Usman is rated at 1.333 (75% probability). At the same time, Volkanovski and Usman’s victories can be bet at odds of 2.95 and 3.4, respectively.
The replacements were made the day before after Charles Oliveira, who suffered a dissection, pulled out of the fight with Makhachev, and Paulo Costa lost his fight with Chimaev because of elbow surgery he underwent three weeks ago.
