Makhachev and Volkanovski fight is on – the champions made weight for the UFC 294 tournament

Abu Dhabi hosted the official weigh-in ceremony for the UFC 294 tournament, the main event of which will be a lightweight title superfight between Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski.

The event’s headliners had no trouble hitting the champion’s weight class limit, with the Russian showing 70.3 kg (155 lbs.) and the Australian recording 70 kg even (154.5 lbs.).

Participants in the second-to-last event, Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman, whose clash will determine the next challenger for the UFC middleweight title, also did well at the weigh-in with 84.1 kg (185.5 lbs.) and 83.7 kg (184.5 lbs.), respectively.
