Magomed Magomedkerimov has pulled out of his fight against Jason Jackson

PFL welterweight champion, Magomed Magomedkerimov, has suffered an injury and will be unable to make his fight against current Bellator titleholder, Jason Jackson, in a month’s time, and his place on the co-main event card will be taken by Ray Cooper III, the 2019 PFL Grand Prix winner.

The bout will take place in the interim weight class up to 82.5 kg (182 pounds), as announced by the organizers of the event. There is no information yet on the nature of the Russian’s injury and the timing of his return to the cage.

Last November, Ray Cooper made his third return to action after a year-and-a-half hiatus, losing by unanimous decision to Derek Brunson in the middleweight division, and Jason Jackson took the Bellator championship belt from Yaroslav Amosov the week before, knocking out the Ukrainian in the third round.

Recall that the fight between Jason Jackson and Ray Cooper the third will be part of a joint PFL and Bellator event, which will be held on February 24 in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
