Magomed Ankalaev has made a promise for his next fight

No. 3 ranked UFC welterweight Magomed Ankalaev promises to finish his next fight by knockout no later than the second round.

The Russian told his fans on social media, mentioning current titleholder Alex Pereira and former division champion Jamal Hill as potential opponents.

“Remember, I kept my word I made before the fight with Johnny. I will win my next fight by knockout within two rounds, especially if it’s Jamal or the Champion. I don’t need a fight for either of them. Those guys have weak jaws,” Ancalaev wrote.

Last month, Magomed Ankalaev won a potential contender’s bout by knocking out Johnnie Walker in the second round before challenging current UFC champion Alex Pereira, promising not to use wrestling skills and to fight the Brazilian only in the standup. The champion responded by saying he was interested in fighting Hill, who was forced to vacate the title last summer due to injury.
