In a conversation, the functionary spoke about the upcoming fight of Kambosos for the title of absolute division champion against the WBC champion from the USA Devin Haney (27-0, 15 KOs), which will take place on June 6 in Melbourne.
Dibella also commented on the victory of WBA World champion American Gervonta Davis (27-0, 25 KOs) over Rolando Romero and answered a question about a possible fight with Ukrainian ex-champion in three categories Vasyl Lomachenko (16-2, 10 KOs).

Haney is hard to fight. He is a very skilled technical fighter with good movement in the ring. I think George’s tenacity, activity, together with underestimated speed and strength will allow George to win. I think this fight will elevate him to superstar status.

Is Lomachenko next if Kambosos gets through this fight, or will he come back to America and fight Gervonta? Gervonta looked good last weekend, he has a completely different fighting style. What was your reaction to this and what did he look like?
Not much happened in combat. It wasn’t a very interesting fight in the early rounds. However, you could see how Gervonta tried on him and waited to land this blow. And then he delivered it – that’s all. Davis has crazy punching power and he has star power. Ryan Garcia has star power too. I think if Lomachenko is still in Ukraine… I don’t know when this situation will end, if he will be able to fight, but the biggest fights for George are ahead.
I don’t want to look behind Haney’s back because I’m kind of superstitious. But you yourself know who they are. There are stars in the lightweight division. Say what you want, there are a lot of haters out there, but Davis is a star. He can hit and he sells tickets. Its’ his job. His job is to get people interested. Love him or hate him, people want to see him fight. Even if his fight was disappointing because there wasn’t a lot of action and thrown punches, but this punch was incredible and ended the fight. This guy can hit like a bastard… He’s a crazy puncher and punches a lot more than his weight. I think that makes it really compelling. Ryan Garcia’s star power is his social media presence. It makes him an international star. There is Lomachenko, who is one of the best in P4P. There is no shortage of big fights for George.
