Less than two weeks before UFC 287, Chinese welterweight Li Jinliang was injured and pulled out of his bout against American Michael Chiesa.
This was reported by informed sources close to the situation. At the moment, it is not known whether Chiesa will remain on the card of the event, or will leave him after the eliminated opponent.
Lee Jinliang has been consistently victorious over the past four years, losing a split decision to Daniel Rodriguez in the previous fight, and Michael Chiesa suffered two setbacks in a row, losing by choke to Vicente Luca and a unanimous decision to Sean Brady.
Recall that the UFC 287 tournament will be held on April 8 in Miami, and its main event will be a middleweight title rematch between Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya.
