The other day in Seneca Resort and Casino (Niagara Falls, New York, USA) held a convention Association of Boxing Commissions (ABC).
It turns out that against the organization, as well as against their official clerk – BoxRec – brought a civil lawsuit from the promoter Edward Mandy (Lion Heart Boxing Productions Ltd.), as well as from boxers
Brandon Denes and
Ivana Khabazin.
The lawsuit was filed in Pennsylvania back in April of this year. The plaintiffs are unhappy that some boxing matches are not recognized in BoxRec official – require financial compensation for this.
BoxRec was appointed official clerk ABC in 2005 and replaced fightfax. It is for this reason that the lawsuit also includes Association of Boxing Commissions – they are considered “accomplices in the fact that boxers are sometimes not counted in the official record of their victory.” More than 1 million USD are required from organizations to “compensate for their losses.”
Boss BoxRec Mike Sheppard has allegedly previously talked about how they constantly receive threats from fighters and managers for refusing to recognize certain boxing nights as official and included in the statistics, but there have been no lawsuits so far.
Plaintiffs also accuse ABC and boxrec that they allegedly quietly concealed information about the boxing evening, which took place last April in Dubai (UAE) – we are talking about a show from MTK Globalassociated with crime boss by Daniel Kinahan.
The purpose of the lawsuit is to bring BoxRec accountable for years of unfair treatment of fighters, and ABC for not doing anything to protect the boxers.”
Earlier boss ABC Mike Mazzulli has hinted that the WBA is in serious trouble again.
