Miesha Tate’s flyweight debut won’t happen at UFC 276, but it will still happen in July.

UFC Long Island has announced the fight between Tate (the former flyweight champion) and Lauren Murphy (the current challenger). The bout will take place at UBS Arena on July 16. The UFC made the announcement Monday afternoon.

During Saturday’s UFC Vegas 57 event, it was announced on the broadcast that the bout will no longer take place at UFC 276 on July 2 as originally scheduled.

Murphy is back in action after being stopped by Valentina Shchenko at UFC last September. This was her first chance to fight for a title at the UFC . Prior to that, the No. 5-ranked fighter in MMA Fighting’s Global Rankings picked up five straight victories.

Tate, a former UFC bantamweight champion, makes her third appearance since returning from a nearly five-year hiatus. In her return bout, “Cupcake”, who defeated Marion Reneau by a stoppage in the third round, lost to Ketlen Vieira unanimously at UFC Vegas 43 on November.

The UFC Long Island headlines a matchup of Brian Ortega against Yair Rodrguez for the featherweight title.
