South Bank Piazza, Brisbane, Australia. In the main event of the show, unbeaten local avenues came together in a head-to-head fight. Left-hander Liam Paro (23-0, 14 KOs) retained the WBO Global super lightweight belt (up to 63.5 kg) in a confrontation with puncher Brock Jarvis (20-1, 18 KOs).
The fight unexpectedly ended in the opening round with a knockout from the “non-knockout”. At first, Paro jabbed well, punched well with left straights. When Jarvis rushed to the attack, he went great on his feet, in which case he clinched.
Another unprepared attack by the contender ended with a missed left hook. Jarvis fell, tried to get to his feet, but no chance. Even the referee’s attempts to slowly count to ten did not help.
