Khamzat Chimaev has agreed a deal with the UFC

The UFC’s number nine ranked middleweight, Khamzat Chimaev, has made it clear that his next fight will be announced soon.

The Chechen fighter announced this in a video published on the social network.

“Something is going to happen,” Borz stated with a satisfied smile, showing his thumb.

According to Chimaev’s version, the organization’s management promised him a fight with the winner of the title fight between Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis, in which the South African fighter won by split decision and became the new UFC middleweight champion.

Last week, the undefeated fighter said he expects to compete at the UFC 300 anniversary event on April 13 in Las Vegas, and if he doesn’t get a title shot, is willing to face one of the division’s top fighters for a double payday.

Khamzat Chimaev last stepped into the octagon last October, defeating former UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman by a three-round majority decision.
